FAQS

What is included in the price?

Each camper will receive access to the Aquarium for the day and all onsite camp activities!

What to bring?

Indoor shoes, reusable water bottle, lunch (please note we strive to keep a nut free environment and ask you to refrain from sending nuts and nut products to camp), extra snacks if necessary, weather appropriate clothing (weather permitting, we will go outside for a recess period), and a change of clothes.

What is extended care?

Extended care hours run from 8am-9am and 4pm-6pm and will include educational movies, games, and quiet activities. You may purchase extended care for an additional fee.

What is the camper to instructor ratio?

The minimum instructor to child ratio for aquarium camp is 1 to 12. Our instructors are marine and child education enthusiasts with training in First Aid and CPR.

What does a typical camp day look like?

Aquarium campers will truly be able to explore the wonderful world of water! Once signed in, each morning will begin by interacting and adventuring through the “gallery of the day”! They will then participate in a variety of gallery inspired activities both inside and out. After campers have refueled with lunch and some unstructured play time they will enjoy a dive show, special guest talk and/or behind the scenes journey. Each exciting day will conclude with a fun wrap up and activity.

Getting here?

Please visit our Parking & Directions page. Pick-up and drop-off information will be provided closer to the camp start date.

What if my child has special needs?

Unfortunately Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is unable to provide one-on-one supervision, adapted programing or specific medical support and those requiring such must be accompanied by a support worker. Please notify us if a support worker will be attending camp with your child.

Late for pick-up?

Please make sure you are on time to pick up your child. We love caring for them but our staff has their own families to get home to. We do reserve the right to charge you an additional $1.00 per minute late. If you know you are going to be late please contact the Camp Coordinator at 647-351-3474 ext 2648.
